Meet Morgan, Christine & Jonathan from JC Cattle Co. 🍁
Morgan, Christine & Jonathan's favourite part of living in a small town is the sense of community. Living in a small town means your neighbours become friends, people look out for one another, and there’s a strong connection to the land and local traditions. It feels good to know the beef they raise goes to families they see at local stores, their town fair, or the farmers’ market. 🏡
Their favourite part of running a small business is the relationships. They get to connect directly with the people who enjoy their products, and are able to share their story as a farm family. It’s rewarding to know exactly who’s at the other end of their hard work and to be part of their meals, celebrations, and homes. 🥰
If Morgan, Christine & Jonathan could travel anywhere in Canada, they would love to head out west to Alberta and Saskatchewan. Not only is it a beautiful part of Canada, but it’s also where the cattle industry is such a big part of the culture. Saskatchewan, in particular, is where the Canadian Speckle Park breed that they raise was established. They'd love to travel to where it all began, see the vast grasslands, meet other cattle producers, and learn more about how beef is raised on the Prairies. 🇨🇦
